Insights on the importance of oracy and its connection to Shakespeare from our Head of Engagement, Evonne Bixter.
Read ArticleJoin us for an afternoon of oracy this summer aimed at anyone with an interest in oracy in education, from early years right up to HE level and everything in between.
Oracy is about more than speaking well. It’s about finding your voice, building confidence, and learning how to express ideas with clarity and purpose. It empowers young people to think critically, communicate effectively, and engage with the world around them.
As more schools look for ways to embed oracy into everyday learning, we’ve worked with our Higher Education Partner Edge Hill University to create a suite of practical resources, interactive workshops, and a simple impact measurement framework to support that journey.
The Shakespeare and Oracy Conference is a celebration of the power of language in action. Through performance, discussion, and collaboration, we explore how oracy transforms classrooms, strengthens communities, and inspires future leaders.
Shakespeare’s work reminds us that words have the power to challenge, to connect, and to create change. This conference unites educators, language experts, and artists in a shared mission to champion oracy as an essential part of every learner’s journey.
All workshop content is adaptable for different age groups and ability levels.
