Global Roots
Mark your calendars for the Global Roots Festival at Shakespeare North Playhouse on Saturday, 12th October—a vibrant one-day celebration that brings the rhythms and flavours of the world to Knowsley.
Throughout the day, you’ll have the chance to enjoy live traditional Iranian music, experience captivating dance performances, and take part in spoken word workshops led by Yemeni-Scouse poet Amina Atiq. The festival will then crescendo with an exciting music lineup, curated by acclaimed artist KOF, featuring Liverpool’s most exciting emerging talent, all set to perform in the intimate Cockpit Theatre.
Blue Saint will be MC for the daytime Global Roots festival activity, introducing all of the exciting performances and sessions, as well as sharing his own work. He is a Congolese and British rapper, singer-songwriter, spoken word poet, actor, producer and designer.
