Featuring Mark & Paul McGann with special guest Mike Neary
Mark McGann: In His Life
Actors and musicians Mark McGann (Lennon, The Grand, The Hanging Gale) and Paul McGann (Dr Who, Withnail & I) two of the four McGann Brothers, reunite on stage for the first time in 40 years to perform a show written by Mark with special guest Mike Neary.
Featuring remembrances, reflections and images of their childhood growing up in 60s & 70s Liverpool, this show maps Mark’s early life-changing experiences at the Everyman Theatre and his acclaimed role as John Lennon which achieved international recognition and led to a thirty year multi-award winning TV Film & Stage career as actor, including two separate productions with his three brothers Joe, Paul and Stephen, the West End hit Yakety Yak in 1982 and in the autobiographically based fictional BBC series The Hanging Gale about the Irish potato famine in 1995.
This is an evening of iconic and personal music, poetry and anecdotes in the company of two famous brothers whose rich history is eclipsed only by their enduring love and connection.
If you wish to be part of this unique familial celebration or just curious about the local influences that created their success and artistic focus, come and be a part of this intimate and unforgettable celebration!
The performance is followed by an audience Q & A.
