Shakespeare, Youth and the Secret to Human Happiness!!
With Christopher Bailey, performer, initiator, policy influencer and Shakespearean lover!
Christopher, a long-standing lead of the Arts and Health Office at WHO, a co-founder of the Jameel Arts and Health Lab and Honorary Fellow under the Research Centre for Arts and Wellbeing, will perform with younger and older folk on themes inspired by the Shakespeare canon, revealing (yes!) what we are all looking for: Happiness! (or is it not?)
In the panel discussion following, Prof Vicky Karkou, Director of the Research Centre for Arts and Wellbeing at Edge Hill University, will present important results from the Arts4Us project and supported by Lisa Allen, CEO of Shakespeare North, will discuss with young people and key stakeholders from health, education and voluntary sector the impact of diverse forms of evidence on arts provision.
Arts4Us is UKRI-funded collaborative project that brings together lived experience young experts, artists, youth organisations, mental health charities, schools and health services, aiming to jointly improve access to arts initiative that support the mental health of children and young people.
