Cast Bios

COMPERE: Gill Gee

Gill Gee, a stand-up comedian based in the North West, brings a unique blend of humour to the stage. She is a retired therapist navigating the challenges of menopause and a midlife crisis, Gill fearlessly explores the ups and downs of life, offering audiences a refreshingly candid perspective. Wholesomely horrible at times, yet undeniably smutty and unfiltered, her comedy resonates with authenticity. As a single mother to adult sons, Gill’s experiences fuel her comedic material, resulting in performances that are both relatable and bizarre.

OPEN: Kim Smith

Hailing from the West Midlands, Kim is a former teacher turned comic. A 2023 Roast Battle Champion, she blends dark humour with a self-deprecating style, finding laughs in life’s messiest moments.

“Incredible writing and delivery. One to look out for.” – I love Manchester magazine

“Kim was the one people mentioned most at the end of the night, she was really funny – audience pleaser” – Comedy Rooms

MIDDLE: Jess Perillo

Jess Perillo (she/her) has been lighting up the North West comedy scene with her sharp wit and playful charm for the past two years. Performing at renowned places like XS Malarkey, The Frog & Bucket and the Women in Comedy Festival, Jess has quickly become a rising star to watch. Whether she’s delving into everyday absurdities, sharing almost-unbelievable anecdotes or delivering clever observations, Jess’ endearing presence and razor-sharp humour is a winner amongst audiences. When she’s not making people laugh, Jess can be found drinking an Aperol Spritz, binging old episodes of Eastenders and co-parenting her hamster, Marvin (usually at the same time).

HEADLINER: Kay Nicholson

Kay Nicholson is an incredibly dynamic and witty comedian making waves on the UK comedy circuit. Known for her sharp observational humour and down-to-earth style, Kay delivers performances that resonate with audiences from all walks of life. Her relatable storytelling, coupled with her infectious energy, makes her a favourite at clubs and festivals alike. Kay’s natural stage presence and quick wit have earned her spots at some of the country’s most prestigious comedy venues, including regular appearances at Hot Water Comedy Club. A rising star with a fresh perspective, Kay Nicholson continues to charm and entertain with her unique comedic voice. She is currently starring in the UK tour of Andrea Dunbar’s hit comedy Rita, Sue and Bob Too.
